I treat thread, textiles, and stitching not simply as materials, but as acts of recording the movement of emotion and life.
Using thread, textiles, and sewing as my primary materials and technique,
without drawing a boundary between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional, I connect life and death by layering textile fragments onto canvas
or creating sculptural forms.
Through the process of a needle piercing and passing through fabric,
I repeatedly kill the self as it hardens and bring it back to life,
looking forward to recognizing our interconnectedness and living together.

FOOL LUCK SUCKS
Drawing on the spirit of Fluxus, which emerged in the 1960s, I aim to parody the standardization and institutionalization of human experience, which have grown increasingly pronounced in the present.
I question situations in which we wait blindly for luck without attempting anything, and explore boredom and oblivion as ways of finding new meaning within meaninglessness and escaping thought exhausted by the countless stimuli of contemporary life.
